IFFCO's Paradip unit achieves record production in single day

Fertiliser major IFFCO's Paradip unit in Odisha has achieved record production in its Phosphoric Acid Plant for any single day on August 12 and is all set to meet 18.40 lakh tonnes overall production target fixed for the current fiscal.

Stating this on the occasion of Independence day yesterday, IFFCO unit's Senior General Manager S K Gandhi said the PAP achieved a record production of 3,000 tonne for any single day on August 12.

He said IFFCO Managing Director U S Awasthi has conveyed his thanks to the employees of Paradip unit of the fertiliser cooperative for this great achievement.

Despite several constraints, Paradip unit has already achieved a production of 4.50 lakh tonne so far and progressing well to achieve the Annual Target of 18.40 lakh Mts fixed for the current financial year, Gandhi said.

Gandhi appreciated that due to sincere effort coupled with hard work of employees, the unit is progressing well towards its goal.

IFFCO's Paradip Unit has also been regularly exporting its surplus Power to Grid Corporation of Odisha (GRIDCO) for the last four year, he said.

The Unit has earned additional revenue of Rs 946 lakh during the period from April to July 2012 by sale of Gypsum, Hydro Fluorosilisic Acid and Export of Power to the state.

The Unit also contributed Rs 781 lakhs to Odisha Government towards VAT and Entry Taxes so far during the current financial year, he said.
