the latest survey by the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry (CANSI), reveals that the first 5 months of 2012 deliveries of new ships, new orders and order book declined by 10.1%, 47.3% and 27% from the
corresponding period of 2011. At the same time, several hundred yards in the areas of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian and Shandong is on the verge of bankruptcy due to lack of orders.
